In the division Reinsurance Controlling (RIC), the responsibilities of controlling and management reporting are bundled together to ensure a uniform controlling process. RIC advises the Reinsurance Committee (RC), RI-CEO and the RI-CFO in respect of the current economics of the Reinsurance Segment and proper allocation of resources
RIC1.4 acts as the Global Process Owner for expenses and is responsible for budgeting and cost allocation processes. Within RIC1.4. the section RIC1.4.2 is in charge of all financial analysis for the Reinsurance IT organization globally. The team’s key stakeholders are the IT senior management (department heads) and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) as well as the reinsurance CFO. Main tasks are the annual IT Budget Planning Process (Run) and the regular reporting to IT and Business Stakeholders (Plan, Forecast, Actuals). Furthermore, RIC1.4.2 identifies, analyzes, steers and consults on cost saving measures and further improvements (also via global best practices or IT benchmarking) of the IT expense base.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated professional with a focused customer orientation and strong analytical mindset to manage and serve a dedicated IT department in regard to IT finance steering and related regular tasks and ad-hoc challenges.
YOUR JOB
- Assessing the development of IT expenses and presenting the findings to the IT senior management and other stakeholders (e.g. Board of Management, local CFOs, internal and external clients) in standard reports and ad-hoc analyses
- Supporting the IT management in the “day-to-day” management of their expense budgets by identifying and analyzing trends and developments, as well as deriving appropriate recommendations and possible countermeasures
- Coordinating and executing the cost and staff planning for the serviced IT units; challenge budget and staff requirements for the serviced IT entity
- Prepare and facilitate quarterly forecast meetings on budget development with IT management
- Close cooperation, interaction and alignment with stakeholders and related key functions (e.g. RIC-internally (IT-Finance Operations), OCIO (Office of the CIO), Tax, Legal, Audit, …)
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree in an economics discipline or information technologies
- Several years of experience in IT and/or finance
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Sound knowledge of SAP/CO, SAP BW, Power BI is a plus
- Strong and convincing communicator, highly skilled in dealing with multiple interfaces, especially in the international organization
- A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams
- Fluent business English; German (basic knowledge a plus)
