Developer for Cameras and Calibration (m/f/d)
Your mission
At sewts we automate what others can’t. Gripping of deformable materials like textiles is a task most humans see as intuitive and simple. However, this is a complicated task for robots as they lack the detailed and contextual understanding of where and with what level of sensitivity to handle these textiles. As deep-tech enthusiasts, we teach industrial robots human perception skills.
We are building a foundational technology stack called sewts.JUPITER. JUPITER uses genAI to simulate realistically the behavior of deformable & soft objects to create corresponding computer vision models and grabbing strategies. Based on our physical AI first time ever robots get enabled to handle soft & deformable materials. With over €10M in funding we will bring automation into all untapped industries, like cloth manufacturing, textiles handling, recycling & e-commerce.
You will make the difference! We have built a high-performance culture where efficient target achievement and consistent development is at the core of our company philosophy. We are working independently with ownership and a strong motivation to go the extra mile. We are setting our goals high, enjoying our daily challenges, while loving to share a laugh with our fellow team members. We are a diverse team, with many different nationalities, which values direct communication and open feedback.
You will be an integral part of our JUPITER Software Team, which is responsible for bringing a highly performant AI platform, specialised on deformable materials, to life. It runs in all our robotic products, which comprises a framework to train AI models, a middleware to run a configurable pipeline including AI models, computer vision algorithms on an edge device, and a user interface for configuration, calibration, and monitoring.
As our new Developer for Cameras and Calibration (m/f/d), you will be an integral part of our JUPITER Team. You will be responsible for the camera integration into our platform, as well as the development of calibration procedures for hand-eye, rectification, internal calibration and many more. You will work closely with our senior and junior developers on improving the quality of the software platform and the user interface for calibration, that we provide to our integration partners and for internal use.
How you will create an impact with us:
- You will implement software for retrieving sensory information from RGB and 3D Cameras;
- You will conceptualize and implement calibration procedures for RGB and 3D Cameras;
- You will plan and implement rectification for multiple camera setups;
- You will create features for our frontend user interface to configure and calibrate our products.
Your profile
- You have studied Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar field, or you have a few years of work experience in programming;
- You have already gained a first-hand experience with camera and hand-eye-calibration;
- You have good programming skills in C++ and preferably also in Python;
- You have a hands-on, proactive work style, with the ability to skilfully articulate and present your ideas to your team.
