Your prospective job:

For our client Airbus Defence and Space you are acting as a Digitalisation Engineer (m/f/d) at the location Manching. The team drives digital solutions in the field of Technical Information and Data (TID), pioneering innovative solutions to streamline processes and enhance accessibility. Each team member takes responsibility for specific tasks, from analyzing existing workflows to implementing new technologies. Together the team is shaping the future of technical documentation and providing the customers with tailored digital solutions.

Your responsibilities:

• Drive the digital transformation of technical documentation processes, introducing and implementing modern tools and methodologies
• Capturing of internal TID authors respectively TID Customers requirements and providing Digital Technical Data solutions
• Create, organize, and optimize digital content for seamless access and usability across platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate semantic technologies and ensure consistency in data management practices
• Analyze existing documentation and information workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and enhancement
• Develop and implement strategies for information management, including metadata standards and data modeling practices
• Provide training and support to team members on the use of new digital tools and technologies
• Design, develop, and maintain knowledge graphs to structure and connect complex information effectively

Your profile

• Degree in mathematics, computer science, aerospace or similar with strong foundation in Digital Innovation or a comparable qualification
• Proven experience in digitalizing business processes, technologies and improving information management systems
• Solid understanding of data modeling, taxonomy creation and metadata frameworks
• Knowledge of at least one stack relevant to web development for research software, including Javascript/Typescript, Frontend Frameworks (Svelte/React/Vue), Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), R (shiny), SQL/Graph database (Neo4j/MongoDB)
• Expertise in cutting edge technologies (e.g. Knowledge Graph, AI), semantic web standards and ontology design
• Business fluent in spoken and written English
• German knowledge is an advantage
