Job Description - IT Administrator

  • Performs IT functions such as analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of technology solution supporting company business processes and operations.
  • Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with technological solution. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems. At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
  • Assists in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems. Maintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies.
  • Performs the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers. May assist Network Administrator.
  • Lead and contribute to IT projects to successfully implement them in a cost effective and timely manner considering the customers need under compliance with law, corporate and security needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Seek ways to leverage emerging technology that will allow Qorvo to increase productivity while reducing hardware and software acquisition costs
  • Provide support and attend to technology incident(L1-2) in APAC region
  • Work together and collaborate with global teams based in Europe and US
  • Analyze, document, plan, and coordinate application and operating system implementations, updates, and upgrades
  • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems, determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot and support computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other computer and telecommunications equipment
  • Install and support PC, laptop, tablet and mobile hardware and software
  • Install and maintain highly available infrastructure for a virtualized environment enterprise
  • Deploy virtual machines and automate processes
  • Allocate storage as required for virtualized environments
  • Install, maintain, and improve network infrastructure
  • Work closely with other admins on new implementations as well as maintaining the current environments
  • Provide additional support when necessary for backup and storage functions
  • Create alternative methods of completing tasks, correcting user errors and system inconsistencies to improve the desktop team function
  • Document procedures, standards, best practices configurations, settings, installation sequences, back-out instructions, and risk mitigation
  • Develop positive working relationships with a wide range of internal and external people

Education/Experience

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and >=4 years of relevant experience
  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Skills

  • Customer-oriented (both internal and external) and excellent communicator.
  • English speaking is a MUST as the role interact with oversea peers
  • Mandarin speaking will be advantage but not mandatory
  • Prior experience in LINUX and Cadence application will be advantages
  • At least 4+ years IT support experience.
  • Experience with successfully implementing enterprise-class tools is desired
  • Ability to respond quickly to troubleshoot, and resolve end user issues.
  • Ability to work independently but also the ability and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Understanding of network and Infrastructures(workstation and server). Experience with Cisco and HP network equipment and command line
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 machines in an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting desktop applications such as Microsoft Office365, Okta, Anti-Virus, etc.
  • Experience using ServiceNow to receive/respond to requests.
  • Understanding of Information Security fundamentals - Phishing defense, passwords, VPN, etc.
  • Team player and continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude is required
  • Must be able to learn, comprehend, and apply emerging technologies and concepts.
  • Innovative problem-solver and motivated strategist
  • On call (after-hours) availability might be required.
