Your mission
The Junior Marketing Manager is a key role within the School Community and will contribute to its onward success and growth. The post holder will work with the Head of Marketing Communications in a collaborative partnership to create an outstanding experience for parents and students throughout every stage of their journey with St. George's.
Specific responsibility will be for the organization, administration, and development of the communication and promotion of the School in order to support and drive pupil recruitment and retention at all levels, through targeted marketing initiatives and activities.
The post holder will be a true ambassador of the School, providing a professional and appropriately targeted approach to the development of links and partnerships with businesses and community contacts - the purpose and aim being to support mutual development and growth while raising the profile and position of the school.
The role will involve the personal interaction with local and regional partners whilst ensuring that the values and educational objectives of the School are fully communicated in a comprehensible and engaging manner and meet with the St.George's values. Due to the International profile of the School, it will be important for the post holder to be fluent in both English and German, in oral and written form.
They will be expected to work closely with the Head of the School as well as building a close working relationship with other members of the School's Leadership Team. It is essential to involve and engage teaching, administrative and other support staff in order to fully inform and involve the whole school community in creating an outstanding experience for all audiences.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of the school's communication plan.
- Support the school by overseeing communications, including newsletters and selected parent communications via the school portal.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality visual identity and brand alignment across all customer touchpoints, adhering to parental usage rights.
- Create and publish content for the school, aligned with the overall communication plan.
- Serve as the point of contact for internal teams across the school, media agencies, and publishers.
- Provide timely reports on school marketing initiatives and their outcomes.
- Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop new marketing strategies.
- Upload and maintain any relevant content to local and collaborative folders, be responsible for visual assets.
Media:
- Assist in developing and implementing media marketing strategies that align with business goals.
- Assist in overseeing all school media channels including online display, print, and PR opportunities.
- Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and monitoring engagement.
- Identify actionable media opportunities in line with the overall communication plan.
- Collaborate with the team to produce visual and written content that resonates with target audiences.
- Managing paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring positive outcomes in brand awareness, consideration, conversion and retention.
- Analyze campaign performance data to measure the success of marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, target demographics, and emerging media platforms.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies to ensure the timely execution of campaigns.
- Support the development and management of email marketing campaigns.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications and media channels.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in media marketing.
CRM:
- Develop, refine, and update tools for all customer touchpoints with the school.
- Define tools and KPIs to measure client satisfaction and achievement of objectives.
Events :
- Support on delivering the local event and activation planning in line with the communication plan
- Manage supplier relationships.
- Manage event budget, process and track related bills, liaise with the accounting team when needed.
Your profile
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related field
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, media, events or related roles (internships or entry-level experience is acceptable)
Skills required
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising, and marketing analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to design visually compelling content and manage brand assets using Canva
- Proficiency managing in paid campaigns, understanding audience insights, and optimizing ads for performance on Google Ads
- Expertise in setting up, optimizing, and analyzing paid social campaigns on Meta platforms
