Your prospective job:

You are acting as a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) for our client in the field of aerospace industry in Weßling. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design of individual parts and complex assemblies used for testing, verification and certification of our Jet and will play a key role in bringing our innovative aircraft to life.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design aerospace parts and assemblies for flight testing
  • Design parts and assemblies for test rigs and fixtures
  • Design Instrumentation installation solutions
  • Create 3D parts and assemblies in CAD (Siemens NX), including harness routing
  • Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter
  • Participate in systems engineering activities
  • Derive fully dimensioned 2D technical drawings appropriate for production and certification
  • Document your work according to our relevant processes
  • Consult with engineers of other disciplines, for example Manufacturing Engineers regarding manufacturability of your designs
  • Provide input to Project Management and Test Engineering Lead on project performance against established milestones
  • Work on any ad hoc related projects or tasks

Your profile

  • Completed studies in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a similar qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience of mechanical rig design in the aerospace and/or component testing
  • Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens NX
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GDT) and overall good drafting skills
  • Basic knowledge with PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent)
  • Experience in harness routing using NX
  • Experience with FEA (particularly NX Nastran)
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
