Operations Manager (m/f/d)

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the financial, logistics, supply chain, and customer service operations, ensuring efficient delivery of our pharmaceutical products. As the Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing processes, managing resources, and building strong relationships with suppliers and distributors across the DACH region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager (GM) in managing day-to-day operations to ensure high On-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, CSO, QA, marketing, finance, regulatory) to align business efforts with company goals.
  • Lead regular meetings with cross-functional teams to analyze sales forecasts and stock volumes.
  • Develop and implement operational plans for financial, logistics, and supply chain management, ensuring seamless coordination from procurement to distribution.
  • Monitor and optimize supply chain processes, including forecast coordination, inventory management, and order processing.
  • Contribute to developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, warehouses, and distributors, ensuring performance meets cost-effective standards.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on KPIs such as sales, inventory, and forecasts.
  • Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned by the GM or Country Head.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related fields; advanced degree preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, finance, or related fields, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and changing priorities in a regulated environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on material challenges and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both English and German, verbal and written.
  • Financial and logistics expertise, with a proven track record in delivering operational growth.
  • Familiarity with cGMP and EMA/Swissmedic regulations is an advantage.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant database management systems.
