Who will you be joining?
The mission of Group Privacy is to develop and sustain the Allianz Group's privacy strategy framework to enable our businesses to increase customers', employees' and third parties' trust in handling of their data. We support the ethical usage of AI in Allianz and the implementation of upcoming data regulations to promote sustainable business growth.
You will join the German Advisory Team and play a critical role in advising and guiding our German clients on data protection matters. This includes drafting and reviewing legal documents, conducting compliance audits, and providing training on data protection best practices. The role requires a deep understanding of German and European data protection laws, as well as the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively in both German and English.
How can you make an impact?
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney specializing in Data Protection Law to provide expert legal advice and support to our German clients. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that our clients comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The ideal candidate will be fluent in both German and English, as the role requires extensive communication with German-speaking clients and stakeholders.
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years professional work experience in a relevant function /Consulting /Project Management
  • Strong academic track record with relevant studies e.g., in Business Administration, Law, Insurance or Information Technology
  • Solid understanding and expertise with complex regulatory framework/requirements in terms of Data Protection (GDPR)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills; Mature Project Management skills; Fluent in English
  • Very sharp analytic and conceptual skills
  • High level of reliability, resilience, and commitment
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Initiative and a sense of responsibility
  • Master`s Degree (or equal) in law, Information Security or Business Administration. Ideally holds any Privacy certifications (e.g. CIPP/E) and has solid project management skills (PRINCE 2, PMP or similar), a basic Compliance Background is of an advantage
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
