Procurement Manager
Reporting to the Local Head of Central Functions (whoever is in charge) and holding the role of Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the coordination of business spend, strategic activities ensuring both Group and local compliance are adhered to for Region of India AzP.
Responsible for managing all procurement activities across the functional contracts / spend for India at Allianz Partners. This includes purchasing, strategic sourcing, category management, value and performance management, policy management, governance & compliance, outsourcing, strategic planning and forecasting, ensuring the effective and efficient running of the function, ensuring the contractual and regulatory obligations
Summary / Overview:
To Lead AzP Procurement strategy for company sourcing for products and services across all functions, covering direct and indirect purchases.
- Responsible for establishing a comprehensive procurement policy, processes, evaluation criteria and documentation.
- Responsible for business user awareness and adherence to sourcing compliance, budget planning and spending control
- Accountable for achieving saving objectives, and supporting AzP to achieve annual budget targets.
- Drive and lead structural IT demand and solution management through effective solution evaluation, and competitive bidding
Responsibilities:
- Adapt and validate Group Standard with local legal department
- Enhance the company procurement policies and tactics required to achieve objectives.
- Communicate and train employees to new standards
- Implement and control standards implementation
- Coordinate & assist procurement activities
- Ensure Process Excellence according to Group Processes and standards
- Organize and drive sourcing projects that are jointly defined with product and BU functions.
- Primary objective is to reduce the cost of supply and meet demand requirements, business and quality specifications, and revenue goals through effective utilization of procurement levers (e.g. negotiation, cost transparency, e-sourcing, cost value engineering
- Develop Allianz Partners (AZP) network of service providers along all lines of business, covering on core business procurement categories and indirect procurement categories (e.g. professional services, marketing & communication…).
- Drive projects to leverage AZP global and regional purchasing power.
- Manage and navigate Internal and External Audit findings
- Support Global negotiation preparation and local implementation of global agreements
- Implement best procurement practices and standards (incl. compliance and regulatory components) in AZP business unit.
- Implement Strategic Sourcing at local level
- Manage providers at local and international level
- Contract management
- Be responsible of all procurement tasks in our all India Business units
- Support global & strategic procurement initiatives across Allianz Partners business units and Allianz Group
- Implement sourcing strategy and manage RFP and negotiations
- Ensure VISP and screening standards are met inclusive of the ESG preferences
- Manage specific spend category including; market research, category strategy and innovation deployment
- Manage team members
- Obtain and manage full Spend visibility
- Development and implementation of supplier and category strategies, understand business needs to identify potential suppliers.
- Manage and develop supplier base in commercial issues, supplier qualification, development and overall relationship management.
- Run and deploy tenders and RFPs in line with standards ensuring full coverage with relevant stakeholders
- Ability to articulate procurement strategy and results
- Review and Approve Purchase Requisitions: Ensure that purchase requisitions are complete, accurate, and comply with company policies before converting them into purchase orders
Requirements
- Proven track record of signification cost reduction exercises and sustainable vendor management strategies
- Advanced people management capability
- Fluent in Local Language and Dialect and English
- Degree in Business administration or similar
- Project methodology & qualification desirable 4 years as a minimum
- Relevant experience in project management desirable
- Legally permitted to work in the country of operations
- Ability to carry out strategic communication internally and externally.
- Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and research skills
