As a Scientist (m/f/d) in the field of serological test development for infectious diseases (ID) with a focus on immunology and virology, you will join Core Lab Development (CLD) within an agile working environment as part of the Product Development Program (PD Program).
The PD Program in the ID field currently consists of six agile teams with approximately 50 technicians, engineers and scientists. Diversity within the team is important to us - as a diverse team fosters innovation. As a Technical Lead in one of the six agile teams, you will focus on the development and regulatory approval of Elecsys assays, particularly for the detection of viral infections and cell-based immunological assays. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating interfaces, optimizing workflows, and organizing processes within the agile work environment.
Your key responsibilities
- You optimize workflows in a Lean and Agile work environment (SAFe), identify dependencies, and leverage synergies to increase efficiency.
- You plan and coordinate development projects, keep track of time and capacity requirements, and ensure the content preparation and execution of technical project meetings.
- You create, review and edit documents based on internal and external requirements, applying your scientific, regulatory, and process-related expertise.
- You work with immunological, molecular biological, and protein chemistry methods, contributing to the optimization and review of diagnostic assays.
- You analyze and evaluate scientific data, prepare reports, and assess their relevance in relation to the current "state of the art" in scientific and medical applications.
Your Profile
- You have in-depth knowledge of virology, immunology, molecular biology and protein chemistry and hold a PhD with a focus on immunology or virology.
- You have relevant experience in the development of cell-based immunoassays (e.g., Interferon Gamma Release Assays, IGRA) in a virological context.
- You are familiar with working in a regulated environment and have experience in preparing documentation for in vitro diagnostics as well as their registration.
- You have a strong interest in optimizing workflows and further developing diagnostic assays and have already gained professional experience in this area.
- You are familiar with agile working methods and have a solid understanding of IT applications, basic statistical knowledge, and strong English language skills.
- You work conscientiously and reliably, maintaining a clear head even during hectic phases.
- You are a team player with strong communication skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work.
