The above position is part of a Client Management team responsible for Munich Re’s client relations with life and health insurers the versatile, exciting and challenging markets Germany and Switzerland. You strengthen our team in a dynamic environment in which we want to grow not only through traditional reinsurance solutions but especially through digitalization, sophisticated product developments in the biometric area plus client specific solutions for financially motivated reinsurance.
Your Job

  • Responsibility for the self-contained managing and servicing of existing client relations as well as the acquisition of new clients and new business.
  • Acquiring new business through the identification of promising business opportunities at clients, which we achieve through solutions in digitalization, and through support in product development, data analytics, innovation, actuarial assumptions and in questions on risk and capital management.
  • Acquisition of new business also through the analysis of the clients’ strategies and the self-contained development of tailor-made reinsurance solutions based on these strategies.
  • Monitoring and analysing developments in various life insurance markets and of its implications for Munich Re and its clients.
  • Self-contained internal interface management as an active contribution to exploiting opportunities and finalising transactions within a business division that is working agile.
  • Self-contained negotiation of reinsurance agreements.
  • Monitoring the business development and forceful client steering.
  • Conception, organization and execution of service and marketing activities (e.g. lectures, seminars, workshops, publications).

Your Profile

  • University degree in mathematics or statistics.
  • Professional experience in life (re-)insurance for several years is of advantage.
  • Ability to integrate in a highly qualified team geared to performance.
  • Qualification for the Actuary DAV or willingness to achieve it.
  • Social and distinguished communication skills.
  • Pleasure to deal with clients and to sell, persuasive personality and strong execution skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills, precision, clearness.
  • High degree of responsibility, motivation, decisiveness and self-employment.
  • PC-/IT-know how.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Very good command of oral and written German and English. Additional European languages are of advantage.
