Your Mission
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Applications Engineer (m/f/d) to join our talented team. Your work will play a crucial role in building RobCo into Europe’s leading company for automation solutions in the SMB sector.
With over €50 million in funding from renowned VCs such as Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed, as well as the founders of UiPath, Helsing, Pitch, and other companies, we are well-positioned to bring our vision to life.
In this role, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure while also deploying software in the cloud that powers our robotic systems. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, control system experts and product managers to build robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
Your experience in cloud architecture, automation, and modern app development will be instrumental in driving the success of our product.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure: Design and manage scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless software deployment.
- Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for reliability and security.
- Optimize cloud costs and implement best security practices for identity, access, and compliance.
- Full Stack Development: Develop and maintain web and application interfaces for cloud-based robotics solutions.
- Build scalable back-end services using Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Implement front-end components using Vue.js, React, or similar frameworks.
- Ensure smooth integration between cloud infrastructure and robotics software.
- End-to-End Software Delivery: Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure high-quality code through rigorous testing, including unit-, integration-, and system-level tests.
- Collaboration and Leadership: Mentor junior developers, share technical expertise, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Work with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Advocate for best practices in cloud security, automation, and reliability.
Your Profile
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and fullstack development.
- Technical Skills: Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation.
- CI/CD & DevOps: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Ansible.
- Programming Languages: Python, Node.js, Go, or C++.
- Front-end Frameworks: Vue.js, React, or Angular.
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience working with distributed systems and microservices.
- Understanding of networking, security best practices, and cloud cost optimization.
- Familiarity with robotics, IoT, or edge computing is a plus.
- Familiarity with MLOps or data engineering is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
