Who will you be joining?
Within Allianz SE, Group Risk (GR) is in charge of managing risks to bolster Allianz's financial strength and to support value-focused company leadership. As such Group Risk is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the Group's overall risk profile. In this context, the Internal Model team is the central global function being responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Solvency II internal model, with a focus on market risk and aggregation.
How can you make an impact?
Responsibility for the central market data management (coordination of external market data providers, EIOPA definitions, market data checks, management reporting, benchmark studies,...). Pro-active monitoring of market movements as part of the risk management process. Frequent interaction/knowledge transfer with stakeholders (Allianz entities, Regulators, Finance function, etc). General development of the internal model with a focus on market risk modelling.
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in mathematics, physics, economics or alike with strong quantitative focus
- Actuarial exam, CFA qualification, PRM/FRM or equivalent is a plus
- Working experience within an financial services environment, consulting firm, risk management department...
- Fluent in Business English (written & spoken) is mandatory
- Good knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, C++, Java)
- Advanced knowledge of standard software (Excel, Access, Word incl. VBA)
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Very good understanding of risk management concepts, quantitative risk methods and valuation models
- Solvency II and regulatory knowledge is a plus
- Structuring to a large extent own work / analysis and executing work plans efficiently & independently.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with senior management
- Ability to establish and maintain internal and external working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures
